Duct tape body repair work “blends in” better than other colors.

downside to silver cars is that just cant see them with the low winter sun in your face (they seem to blend better than most)

I personally will never buy a silver car because it’s too anonymous. But I like the duct tape ingenuity displayed by this Durango owner.

I can’t recall when was the last time I’ve seen an Aspen or Durango without copious amounts of rust in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Their rust proofing is like late 90s/early 00s Mazdas, apparently.

Well it’s not on this side of the car, I didn’t have a picture of the fix :)

Ha, one of my brothers used red duck tape to hold his trunk shut after his Lumina Carlo (which was also red) got rear-ended. It was a pretty good match until the sun faded the red tape into a yellow color...

It’s usually those Scions that have that plastic bit that seems to fall off all of them. Duct and packing tape is the worst, it leaves shot all over the car. I get a three inch vinyl electrical tape from work and it goes on and comes off with no residue. I used it to hold glass in place while I worked around in since I was alone.

I bought a roll of black duct tape for my black convertible top.

This looks pristine compared to the silver Mazda MPV we had in the shop two weeks ago. It appeared they had a blind toddler bondo over all the rust before they repainted it with the first can of silver spray paint they found at Walmart.

Hello Wisconsin!
I’m still having trouble getting used to the longer plate numbers.
My whole life it’s either been XXX-### or ###-XXX. I wonder what they’ll do when XXX-#### runs out of plates?

Wisconsin saves on having to get creative with new plate schemes because we can transfer plates when we change vehicles. My family lives in Maryland which has a similar overall population to Wisconsin but they had to abandon the ABC-123 format years ago because you can’t transfer plates there.

Well, that’s just poorly thought-out.
I will admit to, at one time, owning three cars but only one plate registered to me. I’d transfer the plate between the vehicles depending on what I needed that day.
